I already have a CCU checking account. Can I switch to Windfall
Checking?
Yes. We can convert your account once you meet the criteria.
You'll need to receive your statements online, have direct deposit into your account, and complete 12 or more CCU
credit or check card purchases each month to qualify.
Is there a minimum balance requirement on Windfall Checking?
No.
Is there a limit on the amount of money I can keep in my Windfall
Checking account?
There is no limit on the amount of money you can keep in
the Windfall Checking account. The higher dividend rate applies only to the first $25,000.
My direct deposit is deposited into a different member account number
than my Windfall Checking account. Do I still qualify?
Any direct deposit will qualify, regardless of which member
account number receives the deposit. You just need to give us both member account numbers when you apply for
Windfall Checking.
My payroll is direct deposited to my savings, not my checking. Do I still
qualify?
Any direct deposit will qualify, regardless of which share
account receives the deposit.
My direct deposit is not into the account number on which I have a
Visa? Do I still qualify?
If you wish, Windfall Checking will use both accounts
to determine if you qualify for the higher dividend and refund of ATM fees. You just need to give us both member
account numbers when you apply for Windfall Checking.
How will I know if I did or didn't qualify at the end of each month?
Your monthly statement will have a summary of each of the
criteria necessary to qualify so you will be able to see how many plastic card transactions you had during the
month as well as if you had Direct Deposit and eStatements.
Is there a penalty if I do not qualify in a certain month?
No. If in any month you do not qualify, then you simply do
not receive the dividend or ATM fee refund for that month.
If I fail to meet the requirements during a certain month, do I
still have a chance to qualify during the next month?
Yes, you can start over next month and work towards meeting
the requirements.
If I open my account later in the month, won't it be difficult to
meet the requirements to qualify?
You automatically get the dividend and ATM refunds the
first month.
Can the dividend rate on my Windfall Checking account change?
Yes. This is a variable rate and can change at any time.
This is true for all of our deposit accounts.
I have a personal account and a business account. May I use both
to qualify for this new product?
Business accounts are not eligible for Windfall
Checking. Therefore, only your personal account can be used to qualify.
How are you refunding ATM surcharge fees?
The fees will be credited to your account at the end of the
month. For example, if you incur three ATM surcharges of $1.50, $1.50, and $2.00 at non-Corning Credit Union ATMs
during the month, a credit of $5.00 will be made to your account on the last day of the month.
Do ATM transactions count toward my 12 Credit and Check Card
transactions?
No. ATM transactions do not count toward the requirements.
Is there a limit on the amount of ATM refunds that I can receive
during a statement cycle?
Yes. ATM fees will be refunded up to $30 a month.
How do I sign up for Windfall Checking?
If you have a Home Banking account, log in, click on the
"Online Forms" tab, and select "Additional Accounts / Services." Or call 607-962-3144 or 800-677-8506 to speak

How do I sign up for eStatements?
To sign up for eStatements, log in to Home Banking, click on
the "eServices" tab, select "Enroll Now" and complete the online application process.
How do I sign up for Direct Deposit?
Ask your employer if they participate in a direct deposit
program through an Automated Clearing House (ACH) and provide your employer with our Routing and Transit Number:
