Corning Credit Union Increases Youth Education Reach
July 11, 2017
Corning Credit Union celebrates another successful year of financial education programming for youth.
Under coordination of the Youth Education Department, and with support from many CCU teammates, a total of 4,075 students learned about financial literacy and life skills through the delivery of 135 presentations and programs throughout the 2016-2017 school year. Programming this year included budgeting simulations, classroom presentations, hands-on activities for adolescents, career day events, credit union tours, and more.
Additionally, through participation in youth-centered community events and activities across its markets, the Credit Union reached more than 10,000 children and young adults with initiatives that build financial knowledge and independence.
Corning Credit Union thanks all of the schools, youth groups, and community organizations for their relationships, and for the collaborations that elevate the support of our future consumers and leaders.
