Virtual Financial Service Representative

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for meeting a wide range of member needs through the seamless integration of Lending and Membership
  • Assists members with completing membership and/or loan requests through video conferencing technology, electronically and over the telephone
  • Responsible for making sound lending decisions by effectively analyzing information gathered during applications
  • Educating members about our products and services, while making recommendations that meet or exceed their needs and contribute to a lasting relationship

Mortgage Originator

Location: Corning, NY

Corning Credit Union is seeking an experienced Mortgage Originator in the Corning, NY area. 

The NY Mortgage Originator is primarily responsible for assisting our members with their real estate lending needs within our NY branch locations.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Interviews loan applicants and assists members throughout the entire mortgage loan application process. Conducts member education and supports the member in selecting the right product for their needs.
  • Is creative in evaluating and offering alternative options to help qualify members for the loan requested.
  • Maintains strong knowledge regarding all applicable regulations and ensures adherence to Fair Lending requirements.
  • Executes accurate calculations and disclosures.
  • Strong outside sales and business development focus.
  • Builds and maintains strong realtor relationships and attends outside events and functions in order to grow the business and secure our reputation as a mortgage leader within the marketplace.
  • Maintains a specialized area of expertise such as; construction, low down payment programs, investment properties, or first time home buyers.

Qualifications and Education:

  • One year of mortgage origination experience

Systems Administrator II

Location: Corning, NY

Corning Credit Union is seeking a Systems Administrator II, primarily responsible for ensuring the stable operation of the computer systems. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all server hardware, software, and network storage.

Job Duties:

  • Deploys, configures and maintains all server systems
  • Regularly monitors system performance and uptime statistics
  • Manages upgrades and patches to servers and applications, employing proficient research and troubleshooting techniques
  • Proactively develops, implements, and maintains standard operating procedures, system configuration documentation, and inventory logs
  • Administers and maintains user accounts, permissions, and access rights
  • Configures and monitors backup and recovery systems
  • Effectively coordinates and/or leads small to moderate projects with limited oversight

Senior Financial Analyst II

Location: Greater Wilmington, NC or Myrtle Beach, SC area; remote work options will also be considered in PA, NC, SC, GA, TX, and much of NYS

Corning Credit Union is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst II, primarily responsible for supporting the Credit Union’s interest rate risk management, liquidity management, and asset and earnings strategies.  This position will also assist in the further development of tools and capabilities to support risk management and earnings generation. 

Job Duties:

  • Assists in the Credit Union’s ALM modeling process including the analysis and evaluation of interest rate risk (IRR), liquidity risk, and capital management. Analyzes and communicates results to help inform balance sheet strategy.
  • Actively monitors the financial risk sensitivity positions, risk exposures and underlying drivers resulting from balance sheet trends, market factors and positioning strategies.
  • Provides support in the further development and continuation of liquidity management including measuring and managing short and long term needs. This will include the expansion and optimization of external liquidity sources with FHLB, FRB, and via the brokered channel.
  • Assists in the development and execution of strategy regarding the use of derivatives as a financial risk management tool for the Credit Union’s balance sheet.
  • Assists in the development and refinement of ongoing profitability analysis from a product and a member perspective.
  • Maintains and further develops M&A research and analysis to aid in consideration of potential strategic opportunities in the marketplace.
  • Supports short- and long-term financial forecasting process. Helps in transition and implementation of a new budgeting system and related process.
  • Also assumes responsibility for other projects or duties as required or assigned.

Competencies:

  • Excellent verbal, written, telephone and interpersonal communication skills, and must possess a strong service orientation
  • Ability to work independently yet collaborate cross-functionally in a team environment
  • Ability to educate non-financial professionals on interest rate risk, investment, liquidity, and capital management

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred. Commensurate work experience will also be considered.
  • Possession of or progress toward Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation a plus.
  • 3+ years’ experience working in a financial institution is preferred.
