Summer Interns-Seasonal Member Service Representatives

Location: Corning, NY and Wilmington, NC area

Corning Credit Union (CCU) is currently seeking eager and talented individuals to join the organization for paid summer internships and seasonal support roles. Roles vary but include Member Service Representatives (Tellers) and various financial processing support functions.

Ideal candidates are those currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, data analytics, or mathematics; however, other majors will also be considered. CCU will work with colleges to ensure your experience meets program requirements and focuses on technical and interpersonal skill development. 

    All roles require:

    Senior Financial Analyst II

    Location: Greater Wilmington, NC or Myrtle Beach, SC area; remote work options will also be considered in PA, NC, SC, GA, TX, and much of NYS

    Corning Credit Union is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst II, primarily responsible for supporting the Credit Union’s interest rate risk management, liquidity management, and asset and earnings strategies.  This position will also assist in the further development of tools and capabilities to support risk management and earnings generation. 

    Job Duties:

    • Assists in the Credit Union’s ALM modeling process including the analysis and evaluation of interest rate risk (IRR), liquidity risk, and capital management. Analyzes and communicates results to help inform balance sheet strategy.
    • Actively monitors the financial risk sensitivity positions, risk exposures and underlying drivers resulting from balance sheet trends, market factors and positioning strategies.
    • Provides support in the further development and continuation of liquidity management including measuring and managing short and long term needs. This will include the expansion and optimization of external liquidity sources with FHLB, FRB, and via the brokered channel.
    • Assists in the development and execution of strategy regarding the use of derivatives as a financial risk management tool for the Credit Union’s balance sheet.
    • Assists in the development and refinement of ongoing profitability analysis from a product and a member perspective.
    • Maintains and further develops M&A research and analysis to aid in consideration of potential strategic opportunities in the marketplace.
    • Supports short- and long-term financial forecasting process. Helps in transition and implementation of a new budgeting system and related process.
    • Also assumes responsibility for other projects or duties as required or assigned.

    Competencies:

    • Excellent verbal, written, telephone and interpersonal communication skills, and must possess a strong service orientation
    • Ability to work independently yet collaborate cross-functionally in a team environment
    • Ability to educate non-financial professionals on interest rate risk, investment, liquidity, and capital management

    • A bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred. Commensurate work experience will also be considered.
    • Possession of or progress toward Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation a plus.
    • 3+ years’ experience working in a financial institution is preferred.

    Branch Supervisor

    Location: Franklin County, PA

    Corning Credit Union is seeking a highly motivated Branch Supervisor for our growing Franklin County market. 

    Essential Job Duties:

    • Responsible for the daily branch operations, team support and member satisfaction within the Franklin County market
    • Continue to expand our member base and create lasting member relationships
    • Commitment to promoting Corning Credit Unions culture and works with the team to reach personal, market, and corporate goals
    • Guide and coach teammates, while providing in the moment feedback and support

    Information Security Analyst

    Location: Corning, NY, Greater Wilmington, NC, and Myrtle Beach, SC area; remote work with some travel will also be considered in NY, PA, NC, SC, GA, and TX

    Corning Credit Union (CCU) is seeking an experienced and motivated Information Security Analyst, primarily responsible for overseeing and assuring the security of the Credit Union’s systems and information infrastructure against ever-evolving threats. This includes systems owned by CCU, as well as third-party connections and cloud-based applications. 

    Job Duties:

    • Oversee and assure company-wide information security and maintain environment confidentiality, integrity, and stability
    • Support and uphold CCU’s information security program by implementing tactical solutions, investigating, and responding to potential cyber security incidents, and aligning solutions to governance driven from industry requirements and corporate leadership
    • Research and analyze data results from activity logs, vulnerability scans, file integrity applications, and penetration testing
    • Prepares reports documenting potential and realized cyber security incidents outlining extent of threats and suggests mitigating actions
    • Assist in developing and conducting end user training on Information Security related topics
    • Keep abreast of Info Security developments and emerging threats regarding the products we use (Microsoft, Cisco, etc.) though public and subscription-based channels
    • Proactively researches and recommends new techniques and technologies to support and secure new initiatives in support of corporate growth 
    • Works with security toolsets and trusted vendors to ensure the data processing environment is well protected from unauthorized infiltration and exfiltration of sensitive corporate data assets
    • Advocate for Information Security concerns and be a strong voice within Credit Union and with vendors to ensure the safety of member/corporate information
    • Also assumes responsibility for other projects or duties as required or assigned

    Competencies:

    • Familiarity with maintaining and upgrading Information Security applications and solutions, such as, but not limited to, End Point Protection, Network Access Control, Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, Identity Management, Privileged Access Control, Cloud Security Brokers, etc.
    • Experience assisting with IT audits and control frameworks such as National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), Plastic Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Gramm-Leach Bliley Act (GLBA).
    • Solid understanding of cloud security frameworks in public and private cloud environments.
    • Understanding of network infrastructure, operating system security as well as best practices for securing data in transit or at rest.
    • Ability to perform incident response analysis and root cause analysis through research, and peer/vendor support.
    • Facilitate vendor engagements, develop RFPs, review contracts, and ensure accountability.
    • Experience in documenting process, procedures, and standards.
    • Familiarity working in an Agile environment on cross functional SCRUM teams.
    • Comfortable researching and analyzing innovative technologies and strategic solutions.
    • Initiative-taker that demonstrates initiative and ability to work independently with minimal direction and proven project leadership abilities.
    • Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to conduct presentations and effectively relay information to all levels of the organization.
    • Possesses strong organization and time management skills and can multi-task and prioritize workload in a high-pressure environment.
    • Demonstrates a high level of flexibility and can manage diverse and multiple projects.
    • Effectively manages stress in a constantly changing environment.

    Education and Experience:

    • A bachelor’s degree in Information or Cyber Security or other IT related program is preferred. Commensurate work experience will also be considered. Possession of or progress towards Information Security related certification such as CISSP a plus.
    • Minimum 1-3 years required, 3+ years related experience is preferred.
