Call Center Representative

Financial Service Representative

Location: Wilmington, NC

Corning Credit Union is seeking an experienced Financial Service Representative to join our growing Greater Wilmington, NC area team.

Financial Service Representatives are responsible for meeting a wide range of member needs through the seamless integration of Lending and Membership. This role requires strong sales, service, and relationship-building skills as well as the flexibility to provide exceptional, “one-stop” service to our members to meet all of their financial needs.

  • A Bachelor's degree in business or finance is preferred
  • Commensurate work experience considered
  • Prior/recent experience in Membership and Consumer Lending with loan approval authority required
  • The ideal candidate will also possess knowledge in Consumer Lending, Membership operations and regulations

    Consumer Loan Officer

    Location: Corning, NY or Greater Wilmington, NC

    Corning Credit Union is seeking a Consumer Loan Officer to work in our Lending Call Center. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication, customer service, and analytical skills.  

    Responsibilities:

    The Loan Officer is responsible for gathering applicant information, reviewing and analyzing credit histories and making sound lending decisions. Other duties include providing exceptional service, support, and education to our members including recommending additional products and services to meet their financial needs.

    Skills Required:

    • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
    • Strong communication skills
    • Quality results mindset with strong analytical and judgment skills
    • Positive attitude and the desire to work in a team environment
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred, commensurate work experience will also be considered

        Business Development Officer

        Location: Myrtle Beach, SC

        At Corning Credit Union, our people are our brand, and we are seeking an experienced Business Development Officer, adept at fostering key relationships as we expand our operations into the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina market.   

        Primary Responsibilities:

        • Leveraging knowledge of the market to identify business development opportunities that align with the Credit Union’s business strategy and core values.
        • Cultivating relationships with key individuals and centers of influence.
        • Building brand awareness and credibility within the community by participating in sponsored events, membership sign-ups, and various volunteer opportunities.
        • Fostering valuable relationships with indirect lending dealers and identifying ways to support other local businesses.
        • Effectively collaborating with other departments, and making appropriate referrals to those areas.
        • Maintaining knowledge of relevant economic developments within the area, and employing that knowledge to make appropriate recommendations for future market development initiatives.

        Skills Required:

        • Exceptional relationship building and sales skills with the ability to garner trust and foster viable, profitable relationships.
        • Strong business acumen with the ability to think proactively and strategically about the marketplace.
        • A strong detail orientation with consistent ability to follow through.
        • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, demonstrating a high degree of knowledge, professionalism, and integrity.
        • Highly flexible and adaptable with the ability to travel the market, as necessary.
        • A demonstrated team player with the ability to thrive in a highly collaborative work environment.
        • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred. Commensurate work experience also considered.
        • 3+ years of business development/sales experience required. Prior financial services experience desired.

        Systems Administrator

        Location: Greater Wilmington, NC area

        Corning Credit Union is looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join our growing IT Operations Team. 

        The Systems Administrator provides oversight and assurance of the enterprise data processing environment’s performance, integrity, and system stability. This includes systems owned by CCU as well as third-party connections and cloud-based applications. The Systems Administrator is involved with supporting CCU’s data processing environment, which includes implementing tactical solutions, on-going maintenance, strategic planning and compliance driven from regulators, corporate leadership, and financial industry requirements. 

        Required:

        • Advance knowledge of virtualization technologies and experience supporting server in a virtual landscape
        • Experience with the deployment, integration and maintenance of enterprise level applications in a fast-paced environment
        • Ability to use application functionality to solve business problems and comfortable working and communicating this to team members from IT as well as various lines of business
        • Ability to think analytically and creatively to recognize patterns and problems, identify, and implement solutions
        • Experienced with system and application integration
        • Understanding of securing/hardening of operating systems, applications and communication channels with outside third parties
        • Ability to perform incident response analysis and root cause analysis through research, and peer/vendor support
        • Comfortable researching and analyzing system performance issues, new technology and technical, tactical and strategic solutions
        • Self-starter that demonstrates initiative, has the ability to work independently with minimal direction and proven project leadership abilities
        • Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills and effectively relays information to all levels of the organization
        • Strong attention to detail
        • Possesses strong organization and time management skills and has the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a high-pressure environment
        • Demonstrates a high level of flexibility and is capable of managing diverse and multiple projects

        Marketing Campaign Specialist

        Location: Corning, NY or Greater Wilmington, NC area

        Corning Credit Union is seeking a Marketing Campaign Specialist. The successful candidate will assist in researching, developing, and implementing targeted marketing campaigns across the digital banking, email, and direct mail channels.

        Candidate must be able to analyze member data and identify product and service marketing opportunities, then develop digital ads, emails, and direct mail pieces that get results. Candidate will be responsible for managing one-time communication pieces as well as scheduled, multi-piece targeted campaigns. Tracking and measurement is also an essential part of this role.

        Candidate must possess excellent writing skills. Familiarity with email marketing software, an understanding of web analytics, and knowledge of database structure and queries are required. Flexibility, independent motivation, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment also required. Knowledge of graphic design and web content management experience are pluses.
