Systems Administrator, Corning, NY

Corning Credit Union is looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join our growing IT Operations Team.

The Systems Administrator provides oversight and assurance of the enterprise data processing environment's performance, integrity, and system stability. This includes systems owned by CCU as well as third-party connections and cloud-based applications. The Systems Administrator is involved with supporting CCU's data processing environment, which includes implementing tactical solutions, on-going maintenance, strategic planning and compliance driven from regulators, corporate leadership, and financial industry requirements.

Required:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Exchange administration.
  • Advanced knowledge of virtualization technologies and experience supporting virtual servers, desktops and vendor-supplied appliances.
  • Hands-on experience with managing and maintaining a Microsoft Windows environment (including Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, PKI and other typical Microsoft network services).
  • Experienced with system and application integration.
  • Understanding of securing/hardening of operating systems, applications and communication channels with outside third parties.
  • Ability to perform incident response analysis and root cause analysis through research, and peer/vendor support.
  • Comfortable researching and analyzing system performance issues, new technology and technical, tactical and strategic solutions.
  • Self-starter that demonstrates initiative and ability to work independently with minimal direction and proven project leadership abilities.
  • Facilitate vendor engagements, develop RFP’s, review contracts and ensure accountability.
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to conduct presentations and effectively relay information to all levels of the organization.
  • Possesses strong organization and time management skills and has the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrates a high level of flexibility and is capable of managing diverse and multiple projects.
  • Ability to effectively manage stress in a constantly changing environment.

Desired:

  • Certifications related to networking technologies or other industry certifications.
  • Experience assisting with IT audits and controls such as National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), Payment Card Industry (PCI), Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE 16).
  • Experience in documenting processes, procedures and standards.

Manager, Project Management Office (PMO), Corning, NY

CCU is seeking a Manager to lead its Project Management Office (PMO). As a member of Corning Credit Union’s Project Management Office and IT Management Team, you will be exposed to a wide-variety of cutting edge technologies and interact with seasoned IT professionals in a tightly integrated and cross-functional team.

Essential Duties:

As the PMO Manager you are responsible for leading CCU’s team of project managers and project analysts to successfully complete corporate projects that support Corning Credit Union’s business objectives. The manager will help shape and grow the PMO and will be responsible for ownership of the corporate project process methodology. You will work with project teams across the organization and will use technology and keen problem solving skills to help implement CCU’s corporate vision. In addition to daily leadership within the department, the manager will also be responsible for his/her own projects and for reporting overall project progress to senior management.

Project Analyst, Corning, NY

As a Project Analyst, you are responsible for working with cross-functional teams to implement corporate projects that support Corning Credit Union’s business objectives. The Project Analyst will work directly with credit union systems, subject-matter experts, and third party vendors to solve problems and complete project milestones.

As a Project Manager, you are responsible for working with cross-functional teams to successfully scope, plan, execute, and close corporate projects that support Corning Credit Union’s business objectives. The Project Manager will take ownership of several projects at once, ensuring adequate project plans are in place and working with key management to secure the necessary resources to deliver high-quality projects on-time, on-budget, and in scope.

Mortgage Originator, Wilmington/Leland, NC (Area)

Corning Credit Union is seeking an experienced Mortgage Originator for its Wilmington Branch locations.

This Branch Mortgage Originator is primarily responsible for assisting our members with their real estate lending needs within our branch locations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:

  • Interviews loan applicants and assists members throughout the entire mortgage loan application process. Conducts member education and supports the member in selecting the right product for their needs.
  • Is creative in evaluating and offering alternative options to help qualify members for the loan requested.
  • Maintains strong knowledge regarding all applicable regulations and ensures adherence to Fair Lending requirements.
  • Executes accurate calculations and disclosures.
  • Builds and maintains strong realtor relationships and attends outside events and functions in order to grow the business and secure our reputation as a mortgage leader within the marketplace.
  • Maintains a specialized area of expertise such as; construction, low down payment programs, investment properties, or first time home buyers.

Qualifications and Education:

Outside Mortgage Originator, Brunswick County, NC

Corning Credit Union (CCU) is seeking an experienced Outside Mortgage Originator for its Brunswick County, NC market.

The Outside Mortgage Originator is a residential originator that is primarily responsible for building CCU’s “brand” and reputation within the mortgage community, growing our portfolio and securing our position as a mortgage market leader. This is accomplished through a self-developed referral network using consistent business development, networking, and relationship building techniques and efforts. This position will spend a significant amount of time out of the office attending community meetings, onsite visits, promoting the business, and originating mortgages. Flexibility in hours is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:

  • Acts as a professional, mortgage-focused presence within the local community consistently focusing on growing CCU's mortgage portfolio and local market share through securing and fostering strong realtor, builder, developer, and attorney relationships.
    • Regularly attends realtor community functions
    • Participates as a member of Realtor or builder trade associations
    • Develops strong, individual relationships with key realtors, agencies or other centers of influence within the market through regular communication and touch points
  • Also works to develop community relationships and participates in other business development activities to enhance our exposure and overall brand within the market. Actively participates in the local Chamber of Commerce and community focused organizations.
  • Develops a portfolio that also includes pre-qualified members and proactively maintains contact with those members to increase our pre-approved to closed ratio.
  • Collaborates with the Marketing department on outbound marketing efforts including; mailings, flyers, presentation and seminar materials.
  • Adheres to all service level requirements and is highly responsive to members, realtors, and referral partners.
  • Interviews loan applicants and assists members throughout the loan application process. Uses knowledge and experience to evaluate creative options to meet member needs while also protecting the financial interest of the credit union.
  • Maintains strong knowledge regarding all applicable regulations and ensures adherence to Fair Lending requirements.

Qualifications and Education:

  • 3 years of outside mortgage sales experience
  • Exceptional sales and relationship building skills
  • Self-starter with a high degree of self-discipline and the ability to work well independently
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Member Service Representatives (Tellers), Corning, NY

Full-time Member Service Representatives are responsible for providing excellent, prompt, and professional customer service for members in person, via phone, and through the mail, including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashiers' checks, money orders, and cash advances.

Representatives balance each day's transactions, verify cash totals, answer members’ questions regarding products and services, and actively educate and cross-sell products and services when appropriate. Representatives also perform a variety of account maintenance duties, side-jobs of various clerical functions, and assist other Member Service Representatives with duties as necessary.

We are also seeking Part-time Member Service Representatives (Tellers) for our Main Office Branch. (Approximately 25 hours per week)

High School Diploma or GED and 1 - 3 years of Customer Service experience required.
