I am pleased to introduce you to our new StraightTalk eNewsletter! The goal of this eNewsletter is to provide our members with relevant information and resources that are easy to access and intuitive to use. Our eNewsletter will offer the latest unbiased consumer and financial information, as well as the most up-to-date news about CCU.
For this first issue, I will highlight some of our most recent accomplishments and provide you with details of what you can expect to see in the upcoming months.
As online and mobile technology continues to advance, more and more members are using these channels as their primary methods of doing business with us. To ensure ease of use for our members, we have made significant investments to our online and mobile products. Most recently, we have made improvements to our
eBranch online banking and
Bill Pay services, we launched
Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay (products that allow members to make purchases using their mobile devices), and began issuing cards with
EMV chip technology.
To further develop our digital channels, recent updates have also been made to our website and mobile app to make both easier and intuitive to use for our members. Our improved
mobile app includes a new look and feel, as well as a new feature called
Send Money – which allows members to send money to both members and non-members via PayPal. As we move forward, members will notice additional improvements being made to our eBranch online banking system, with the goal of improved efficiency and security, as well as the release of a new credit card product.
In addition to these technological improvements, we continue to invest in our branch locations. For example, our fourth branch
opened in the Wilmington, NC, area in February and we are working to grow our infrastructure to continue to support the more than 18,000 members that live in the area. Furthermore, we are undergoing renovations to make upgrades and improvements to our Elmira, NY, branch to create a better member experience.
